Join CJL Counseling Services for Soul Food & Self-Care with Chef AK, a soulful community wellness experience centered on food, healing, and meaningful connection.
This event brings together the comfort of soul food with intentional conversations around self-care, emotional wellness, and community support.
Guests will enjoy a warm and uplifting atmosphere featuring Chef AK of AK’s Cuisines, along with a live broadcast by Beyond the Pew in cooperation with MJM. You will also have the opportunity to talk with counselors, ask questions, and get to know the clinicians at CJL Counseling Services.
This event is designed to remind the community that caring for the soul includes nourishment, rest, connection, and joy.
The event will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the parking lot of CJL Counseling Services, 20280 Governor Hwy, Suite 205, Olympia Fields, IL 60461. Hosted by Elaine Smith, LCPC, this gathering reflects CJL’s mission to promote healing, wellness, and culturally grounded care. The event is free to attend, and the only cost is the food purchased from Chef AK.
