Our Mid-Day Tea Party

I just had to take this time to tell you about our fantastic tea party. Beautiful women were sitting down and having a great discussion about loving ourselves and staying committed to progressing to the women we desire to be.

When I tell you Michelle McKinnie came with a fantastic conversation, I am always excited about having her as a speaker. She focuses on engaging women in conversation. It is never a lecture. Instead, you can bring your experience to the discussion. We start this day with what we carry in our purses. Take a moment and think about the different items you have in your purse right. How much of it is necessary. At the time of the event, I was like, I have a wig cap in my purse. Now, why in the world do I have a wig cap in my bag. I have no clue but do not judge me. You never know. It is not needed. This cap was another item in my purse that was not necessary. Now imagine your purse holding the different thoughts you carry with you about yourself. What are some unnecessary thoughts you have about yourself? What are some unnecessary thoughts? Not being enough or not being smart enough. Unable to complete a take because others do not believe in you. These are unnecessary thoughts we carry with us that prevent us from committing the woman we desire. So, what do you do with the unnecessary items? You take it out of your purse and trash it. At the same time, you are replacing that item with something you need. You will trash the thoughts of not being enough and replace them with “I am more than enough.” This is not a one-time action. We must trash this thought daily until it is no longer a concern. Remember, as women. We are constantly progressing, requiring constant work to become the woman we desire.

I genuinely thank Michelle McKinnie for taking the time to speak to us. She was truly unique. Also, we had a beautiful venue with Wild Blossom on the south side of Chicago. While people were coming for a wine tasting. Many were amazed to see a group of women laughing, talking, and empowering each other that a few women at the location asked if this is something we do quarterly on monthly. Hmmmmmmmmm. Stay Tuned.
