Individual Therapy
Brief Interventions
It is important to know that therapy is not about dealing with just a mental health concern. Sometimes, we just need a listening ear—someone whose focus is not to provide unhelpful advice at the most challenging time. There are situations in which we just wish to be heard. To find guidance during darkness or just need help to make a tough decision in life. Therapy can be beneficial in these moments as well.
Brief treatment can be beneficial for certain people and diagnoses. You will receive up to 16 sessions for at least 45 minutes. During this time frame, you will learn additional coping skills, increase positive decision-making abilities, and improving control over your emotional response.
Anxiety and Depression
We all need help getting out of our way and attempting to figure out the different obstacles in our lives. Together, we can develop a treatment plan that works for you by finding ways to become more calm, positive and manage your emotional responses. Anxiety and depression are prevalent mental health conditions triggered by traumatic experiences or can just appear out of nowhere.
Anxiety can come in as a shadow and grow into a room full of darkness. However, you can receive support in getting out of your way, difficult life transitions, and build positive coping skills for your emotional and mental balance especially, if you are dealing with a loss, divorce, or a career change. Common symptoms of depression such as loneliness, fear, and negative thoughts. Often this could impact your self-esteem and self-confidence. As for depression, you can feel lethargic, unmotivated, or sad. If you believe you are experiencing any of these concerns, know you do not have to do this independently.
Trauma Therapy
Our objective is to build a healthy therapeutic relationship that allows you to be your authentic self and know you will not judge it. Through this relationship, we will focus on your strengths, support system, and coping skills. You will learn additional coping skills to help with emotional regulations. At the same time, you are targeting unhelpful behavioral and cognitive patterns. By the end of your treatment, you will have gained the ability to feel in more control over your own life and choices.
The approach to treatment may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and other psychotherapies. Your treatment is unique, just as special as you are. Therefore, we will use assessments and information gathering to determine the proper treatment for you.
