Strengthening your Inner Queen

Dear Phenomenal Black Woman,You are an amazing, beautiful, and resilient woman. People criticized us for our uniqueness. Yet we prevail. We have faced challenging times and struggle with who we are, where we come from, and who we are becoming. We are exceptional because we face so many adversities while trying to identify who the hell we are. Sis, I am determined to let you know how amazing you are. I write this book for you. To help you find your authentic self while facing down the many images you must uphold for the community, the family, and your friends. My love, I understand the emotional distress you feel day in and out trying to hold onto the image of having it together. While on the inside, you are breaking down slowly and hoping someone will take the time to notice the breaks in the walls and leaks in your building. At the same time, I can only imagine the frustrations you have endured. As a therapist, supervisor, and consultant, it is crucial to educate on cultural competency. It goes beyond black and white. Yes. I am a Black woman. However, I do not always have a full understanding because we handle situations and emotions differently. All I do know is together we can overcome.
